Podcast episode #13 – Sally Solaymantash on a quest to revolutionize the software industry
There is a problem in the software industry, and everyone pretends to not hear it, see it, nor speak of it; just like the monkeys on the picture. That is… except Sally M Solaymantash. In this episode of Help’n’Trade podcast, Sally M Solaymantash is on a quest to revolutionize software industry. Sally’s vision is called SAM which stands for SmarterApproach Methodology.
SAM – SmarterApproach® Methodology
Probably the greatest value of SAM is in the way it preserves enterprise knowledge. From the very first definition of need, through to implementation, SAM keeps it all. Therefore, SAM serves as single source of truth for the entire enterprise knowledge and software life cycle.
The best part? It visualizes the entire ecosystem and dependencies within an enterprise.
Why is SAM the future?
Firstly, thanks to seamless documentation, the team members will have more focus on the core of what is important. Problem recognition and solution, rather than administrative tasks.
Secondly, transparency and visualization of dependencies within the ecosystem will enable more efficient reusability, quality and regulatory management. Resulting in a drastic reduction in errors and failures.
Interestingly, the third benefit is probably the least obvious one. As a next step, thanks to SAM, piling of old hardware from fear of losing what’s on them, will become a thing of the past.
Sally on entrepreneurship and equality
Sally believes the greatest entrepreneurs have an undying passion for their cause and have a strong focus on the goals ahead. These are the characteristics which Sally seeks also in her team of supporters to create SAM. What sets Sally apart however, is her believe in equality through blindness and focus. You can’t achieve equality if you focus on the numbers. According to Sally, when you are choosing your colleagues or employees, you need to be blind towards sex, race, religion and all the other human characteristics that are not relevant to the role. Then you need focus on the individual core values and expertise. Only this way, will we be able to build a better future.
Next steps
Sally has much more to tell you, especially about her entrepreneurial path, her core believes, but most importantly about her vision. If you want to learn more about Sally and her quest to revolutionize the software industry, listen to our podcast episode above or reach out to Sally directly
