1. Introduction

Thank you for using Help’n’Trade! Your trust is important to us and we’re committed to protecting the privacy and security of your personal information worldwide. The information that’s shared with us helps us to provide a great experience with Help’n’Trade website and the web application.

The cookies policy page describes what information our cookies gather. How we use them and why we sometimes need to store these. We also share with you, how you can prevent these from being stored. However, this may downgrade or ‘break’ certain elements of the sites functionality.

2. What Are Cookies

As is common practice with almost all professional websites, also Help’n’Trade website and Help’n’Trade application use cookies. Therefore we also need to write our cookies policy page. 3. How We Use Cookies

We use cookies for a variety of reasons detailed below. In most cases there are no industry standard options for disabling cookies. That is, without completely disabling the functionality and features they add to this site. Therefore, it is recommended that you leave on all cookies. Most of our cookies are there to enable functionality of our application. If you are not sure whether you need them or not, read the description of individual cookies below.

Disabling cookies will usually result in also disabling certain functionality and features of the this site and our application as well. For example one of our cookies enables you to keep being logged in. If you remove this cookie, you will be logged out immediately from our application. Therefore make sure you distinguish between “Required service cookies”, necessary to run the website and application; “Optional service cookies” which extend functionality of the application and improve your experience significantly; and “Optional analytics cookies” which you can prevent from setting with your cookies consent at the landing on the website/application or remove it later in settings.

4.1 Removing your consent

In our application we give you of course the possibility to opt-in or opt-out of analytics cookies. If you initially gave us your consent and choose to remove it in the settings of our application, the cookies won’t be set again. However, you need to delete the remaining cookies from your device manually through your browser settings. Unfortunately there is no other way around it.

Similarly, for our website. If you initially gave us your consent and google analytics cookies are set, you can remove them manually in your browser settings.

5. The Cookies We Set

5.1. Required Service Cookies (webapplication https:// helpntrade.com only)

  • jwt:
    jwt cookie is a type of a cookie, which you can not access, nor is it visible to you. However, it is essential for the functionality of the application, as it allows the authenticated user to use our application.
  • io:
    io cookie is a type of a cookie, which you can not access, nor is it visible to you. However, it is essential for the functionality of the application, as it enables authenticated user to receive notifications and messages.
  • AWSALB & AWSALBCORS:
    are cookies, which you can not access, nor is it visible to you. However, it is essential for the functionality of the application, but especially for user experience, as it enables loadbalance traffic on our application and make sure your traffic is associated only with one server at a time, while serving our application.

5.2. Optional Service Cookies (webapplication https:// helpntrade.com only)

  • consent:
    When you first land on our application: https://helpntrade.com, you will see a banner informing you about us using cookies. If you decide to click on “ok”, which is optional, you are giving us your consent. We store the information and date of your consent so that we do not have to display you the banner any longer.
  • isSetPrefLang:
    When you first land on our application: https://helpntrade.com, you are asked about your preferred language of use. Which ever language you select, we store this information in your browser to translate the application for you accordingly. Furthermore, the same cookie is used do define your default language when you log in. Once logged in, you can change your language preference in your settings. This will edit the information in the stored cookie as well. Whenever you visit out application again we check whether we find the language preference cookie in your browser. If not, we give you the option to select your preferred language again.
  • policies:
    When you log in into our application: https://helpntrade.com you first need to agree with our terms of service and privacy policies. The policies cookie stores your consent at the moment you log in. Therefore, you do not have to go through those additional steps again, next time you use our application.
  • lastCoordinates & locale:
    When you access our application https://helpntrade.com you are requested by the application to access your location. This enables the trading map to center to your approximate location (not precise location!). If you however do not turn on your location, the lastCoordinates and locale cookie will store the last position you viewed. Therefore, you do not have to go through those additional steps again, next time you use our application. Your view will be on a location you had it last centered on.

    When you access our application https://helpntrade.com and interact with it we use eventListSection cookie to store the last tab you were on the event-list page to keep that tab open on your next visit
  • eventListSearch
    When you access our application https://helpntrade.com and interact with it we use eventListSearch cookie to store the last search query for events you had on the event-list page to keep this active on your next visit
  • eventListFilters
    When you access our application https://helpntrade.com and interact with it we use eventListFilters cookie to stores the last search filters for events you had on the event-list page to keep this active on your next visit
  • storeListSearch
    When you access our application https://helpntrade.com and interact with it we use storeListSearch cookie to store the last search query for eshop you had on the event-list page to keep this active on your next visit

    When you access our application https://helpntrade.com and interact with it we use showingMap cookie to store the last information of whether your last interaction with the Trades list was in a view of a map or a list on private user trades. This information is used to keep the view on a map or a list of private user trades when you switch between various parts of the application.
  • showingMapGhost
    When you access our application https://helpntrade.com and interact with it we use showingMapGhost cookie to store your last map view on private trades list so that we do not have to reload it when you switch between tabs on our application.
  • showingMapStore
    When you access our application https://helpntrade.com and interact with it we use showingMapStore cookie to store the last information of whether your last interaction with the Trades list was in a view of a map or a list on eShops. This information is used to keep the view on a map or a list of eShops when you switch between various parts of the application.
  • showingMapGhostStore
    When you access our application https://helpntrade.com and interact with it we use showingMapGhostStore cookie to store your last map view on eShops trades list so that we do not have to reload it when you switch between tabs on our application.
  • helpDraftEvent
    When you access our application https://helpntrade.com and create an offer or a request as a private user without being logged in/registered yet, we save the information in the cookie helpDraftEvent. We use the stored information to give you the option to publish your newly created trade, once you log into our application.
  • helpDraftStore
    When you access our application https://helpntrade.com and create a eShop as a business user without being logged in/registered yet, we save the information in the cookie helpDraftStore. We use the stored information to give you the option to publish your newly created eShop, once you log into our application.
  • helpDraftQuote
    When you access our application https://helpntrade.com and request a quote from a business (via eShop) without being logged in/registered yet, we save the information in the cookie helpDraftQuote. We use the stored information to give you the option to send the request for a quote, once you log into our application.
  • Onboarded
    When you initially visit our application https://helpntrade.com you are being guided through few onboarding screens. the cookie onboarded stores the information if you have clicked through the onboarding screens or not. This information is again accessed next time you visit our application to determine whether to diplay you the onboarding screens or not.
  • onboardUserType
    When you initially visit our application https://helpntrade.com you are being guided through the onboarding process according to a choice of a user you make initially. The cookie onboardUserType stores the information of your choice of a user. This information is again accessed next time you visit our application to determine which screens are relevant for you as a user.
  • didNotConfirmYet
    When you initially visit our application https://helpntrade.com you have a choice to register on our application. If you choose to register with e-mail you are requested to confirm your e-mail address to finish the registration process. However, not to spoil your experience, we also enable you to keep discovering our application despite not finishing the registration process. We use the cookie didNotConfirmYet to store the information whether you decided to explore the application without finishing the registration. We use this information to display you a banner with a message that you need to confirm your e-mail to finish setting up your account on our application.
  • skipStore
    When you register on our application https://helpntrade.com as a business user, you are guided through an onboarding process, including creation of an eShop. This is displayed via a popup. The cookie skipStore stores the information if you skipped the popup regarding eShop creation or not. This information is used again to display you the same popup in a case you skipped it intially.
  • loggedIn
    The cookie loggedIn is used to determine whether your session is live and you are therefore logged in or not.
  • isBusiness
    The cookie isBusiness is used to determine whether you are a business user or a private person user.

5.3. Optional Analytics Cookies (web application https://helpntrade.com and web site https://helpandtrade.com)

We use Google Analytics which is one of the most widespread analytics solution on the web. It helps us understand how you use our website and our web application. Also, it shows us ways that we can improve your experience. We use website analytics so we understand hidden failures. Especially, those which made you leave our site, but you did not confront us about. Furthermore, we want to continue producing engaging content and so need to learn what works and what not.

The analytics cookies are enabled only once you give us your consent. Clicking on “OK” in the cookie banner will enable the cookie. You can of course delete them in your user settings. Also, they are deleted automatically according to your web browser settings. For example, when you close the window or when you close the browser, etc.

  • cookies_notice_accepted which stores the information if you agreed with the cookies notice banner or not and upon your acceptance of the cookies, trigger google analytics script to be loaded.

6. 3rd party cookies (relevant for Application use only)

Depending on your choice of registering an account on our application additional cookies may be set on your device. For example if you decide to register with an e-mail address, no additional cookies are set, except the ones mentioned above. However, if you register your account using social media authentication like Facebook or Google, additional cookies may be set by these providers, which are not in our control nor do we have exact knowledge on what information these cookies collect or what purpose they serve.

Currently there is no registration on our website and therefore, there are also no 3rd party cookies set if you agree with cookies policy on our website.
